Cottage, Church Fenton, North Yorkshire
We extended and refurbished this early C19 cottage on behalf of the owner who has lived there for 40 years.
Late C19 and mid C20 extensions were demolished and the property extended to form a new entrance, a large formal living room and an open plan kitchen dinner living space all with vaulted ceilings. An ensuite bathroom and a large wet room were also added with the whole of the new ground floor space benefitting from under floor heating.
The original render was removed and replaced with a new high specification render. The face lift was completed with new stone window cills and brick heads. The result is a modern high specification home with country cottage character.
