Granny Annex North Yorkshire
After having converted the house loft into two double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms a number of years ago we were commissioned to convert and extend a double garage into a granny annex attaching it to the main house. At the heart of the house is a timber framed vicarage dating from the C15. giving it grade 2 listed status. Our brief was to create spacious open plan self contained accommodation for two people on one level to facilitate ease of movement. It had to be light and airy and take advantage of the southern aspect and views over open countryside to the rear.
We obtained Planning and Listed Building Consent and Building Regulations Approval and produced the working drawings for construction by a local builder.
