New house at Scarcroft, Leeds.
We were commissioned to extend and remodel a dormer bungalow but due to the cost of the proposed works and the high value of the site our client accepted our advice to demolish the bungalow and build a much larger property on the site. The brief was to design, gain planning and building regulations approvals, produce working drawings and project manage a 3 storey, 6 bed roomed stone house in the style of traditional local country properties but with contemporary internal features and a fully opening 7 metre long glazed external living room wall to take advantage of the Southerly aspect and mature woodland standing in the Green Belt in the rear garden. The house was completed in seven months and on budget.
