Showroom/office building, Horbury
New speculative showroom/office building, Horbury, Wakefield.
The semi-derelict site was in the flood zone near to the River Calder and owned by a private developer. We were commissioned to design, gain planning and building regulations approvals and provide working drawings, resolving difficult flooding, access and parking issues. The brief was to design a crisp, sharp contemporary building, with a flexible internal layout and positioned on the site to gain maximum exposure from the busy road adjacent.
