Company Profile
The Coach House, North Milford, North Yorkshire
An early C19 single storey cart shed, with a stable and a forge stood on the site within the grounds of a listed building. The building had undergone a series of unsympathetic changes in the 1970’s and much of the original fabric had been lost. We obtained planning and listed building consent to rebuild most of the existing building with the addition of an extension dug 600mm into the ground to create a double garage with a master suit in the roof above. The original handmade bricks and roof trusses along with reclaimed doors, cast iron columns and chimney pots from salvage yards were all incorporated into the new property. We were engaged for the design and obtaining planning and building regulations approvals, to produce the working drawings and supervise on site. All new joinery including windows, external doors and a Georgian style stair case were designed by us and purpose made.
